Subjunctive Mood
الأسلوب الاحتمالي او الفرضي او الشرطي نستخدم هذه الصيغة للتعبير عن شيء احتمالي أو غير حقيقي أو من الصعب حدوثه .. ويكثر استخدام هذه الصيغة في الجمل الشرطية والأمنيات والدعاء.
Note: The subjunctive is not very common in modern British English, and is used mostly in formal style. In American English, subjunctive structures are quite common in formal styles.
The present tense
يكون شكل الفعل في المصدر بدون (to) EX. She be – He go – Ahmed have
يستخدم في تعبيرات معينة
Wishing التمني
God bless you.
Heaven help us.
May she be happy all her life.
Long live Egypt.
Giving orders, advice .. ارشاد وتوجيه ونصح
After verbs ( urge-desire-advise-order-recommend-insist-command-demand-suggest-ask-propose-request ) followed by that
He insists that a meeting be held as soon as possible.
The government recommends that tourism be supported by all.
I urge that he propose to her.
After constructions ::





(It's essential/vital/important/desirable/necessary/reasonable- your advice- It's our wish&hellip
It's essential that every child have the same educational opportunities
You advice that she wait till next week, is reasonable.
It's my wish he marry his fiancé soon.
Note: In British English, they use (should + inf. )
It's my wish that he should marry her.
After clauses with (though-although)
Though the whole world say so , I still don't believe it.
In very formal language (legal **s – old writing ..)
This, if the news be true, is a serious matter.
If any person be found guilty, ….
If the rumour be true , we are on hot water.
